Getting started as a workspace owner

This is the fastest path from an empty workspace to a public artist page with working release and track links.

Quick launch path

  1. Create artist

    Open Catalog, click New Artist, add name, slug, and bio.

  2. Create or import release

    Use New Release for manual setup or Import from URL for Spotify, Apple Music, or SoundCloud metadata.

  3. Finalize tracks

    Add titles, order, lyrics, credits, and listen links. Use release checklist warnings as your quality gate.

  4. Add visuals and promotion links

    Upload release artwork, set artist profile image, and verify platform links in Listen & Watch.

  5. Publish and share

    Publish artist, release, and track. Share the canonical URL pattern: https://backsleeve.com/a/artist-slug/.

Before you publish

  • Artist has slug, short or long bio, and profile image.
  • Release has title, type, date, cover, and at least one track.
  • Each track has final title, credits, and a platform link.
  • Preview route and public route both render correctly.

Team setup

  • Invite collaborators from Users.
  • Use editor role for day-to-day content changes.
  • Use admin/owner roles for publish and user control.
  • Suspend stale users instead of deleting history.
